If someone were to ask what type of learner I am, I’d have to say “a visual learner.” It’s how I seem to interpret life. I spend most of my days visually documenting what happens in the Archdiocese of St. Louis as a New Media Journalist for the St. Louis Review. I am a photojournalist with more than 25 years of experience, documenting every type of situation from simple daily life to world events like Pope Francis’ trip to the United States in 2015, international stories in Israel, Bolivia and Colombia and the unrest after the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. I was honored to be awarded as Photographer of the Year in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020 by the Catholic Press Association for my photojournalistic work and have been awarded via the National Press Photographers Association in their clips contests.
